Staub cast iron skillet

It’s an excellent tool for going from stove top to oven!

What a disappontment!

I was excited to purchase my first Staub product. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to use this skillet, even after reading the enclosed booklet. First of all, it takes a lot longer to warm it up, as comparing to other cast iron skillets (i.e. Scanpan skillets). Then, you have to cook using Medium/ Medium Low fire only. Even then, with plenty of oil (I use ghee), the food was still sticking to the skillet. I tried multiple times, and it just did not work. I carefully washed it with warm water and soap, but the bottom looked like there was still some residue. Additionally, the handle would get extremely hot during cooking, so you always need something to grab the skillet with. Regretfully, it is going back.
