Just The Right Size!

My late husband and I purchased the full-size version a few years ago...and never used it. It was so BIG it was overwhelming instead of being helpful. This small size (for just 1 person now) is perfect!

Artisan® Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer

I love my Kitchenaid stand mixer. I've always wanted one and decided now was the time. I don't know how I cooked without it. I use it for cookie dough instead of stirring by hand. My cookies are so much better. I use it to shred chicken, rather than using two meat forks. Perfect every time. This mixer has simplified my cooking and baking life!

Disappointed

I like my machine but need to get used to it. It is slower on speed 5 than I expected but it gets the job done. It’s difficult for me to pop the beaters out and then they fly into the batter. So that takes planning. All in all I wish I had bought the the 9 speed mixer.

Flimsy, Head bounces when kneading dough

I've had an older model since 1991 (35 years). I just tried to make bread for the first time with this one. I used a medium-low setting. The motor bounced so hard, the screw holding the accessory panel worked loose and the panel dropped into the dough. It dented the bowl little before I could stop it. The lock lever also worked its way toward the unlock position. I had to keep pushing it back to lock. I had to stand there the whole time and push down on the head to keep it from bouncing. This never would happen on my old mixer. Why cheapen your product?
