Great base, but too much to pay for half a jar

I have bought this excellent eyeshadow base 3 times.It is a great shade with or without shadow. But no matter how conscientiously I try keep the lid on when not using it, the cream dries out by the time I use half of it and I have to discard half the container. The price is too much to pay for half a jar.

Disappointed

I previously used a similar eye base by Lancome that was discontinued. Estee Lauder eyeshadow base does not compare unfortunately. I use a base to cover redness on my eyelids and this product is too sheer to do this well. It has a tendency to crease if too much product is used to build coverage.
